Throughout the Bible, God’s people unite for spiritual camaraderie, compassionate accountability, and encouragement. David relied on Jonathan for honest friendship, Ruth supported her mother-in-law Naomi in a difficult transition, and Jesus gathered around Him 12 men for His earthly ministry.
In Spiritual Mentoring at CPC, we likewise aim to provide a relational template for each of us to become more like Jesus Christ. Our ministry consists of pairs of men or women meeting together to build relationship, study God’s Word, and pray together.
“Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.” - Psalm 34:3
BE MENTORED
Having a mentor is a great way to grow deeper in your relationship with God by joining another believer in the journey. The mentor relationship becomes a safe place to ask questions and dig deeper into God’s Word.
You and your mentor will initially meet to go through a five-session study. You can choose to continue to meet with your mentor and do a Bible study together weekly or semi-monthly, depending on your schedule.
BE A MENTOR
Make a difference in the life of another person by investing in their spiritual growth. Use the lessons God has taught you to benefit another, and in the process you will grow deeper in your own relationship with God.
Our leadership team will provide you with training on how to be a mentor. We will also coach you in the process as well as provide resources and study materials. Training classes are offered every fall and winter.
