10:00AM: All-Church Worship in the CPC Sanctuary
11:00AM: One-Mile Neighborhood Walk; Church-Wide BBQ & Family Games at CPC
On September 5, CPC will have just one service at 10:00AM, followed by a neighborhood walk to raise awareness and funds for children affected by HIV/AIDS. We’ll return to CPC for a BBQ lunch and games.
CPC’s contributions will go to two beneficiaries. The Mercy Fund of Heal Africa provides children of Goma, Congo with general healthcare, HIV testing and treatment, nutrition, and school fees. Additional support will go to One Heartland, a national non-profit organization, headquartered in Minneapolis, committed to greatly improving the lives of children, youth, and their families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

NEW CLASSES FOR ADULTS
At CPC, we believe that in order to love and follow Jesus, we need to grow in understanding. There are a number of classes for adults starting this fall - Financial Peace University, membership class, Starting Point, Glad You Asked, as well as a number of others. Please check out the many opportunities to learn and grow! Click for a full listing.

NEW CARE GROUPS
CPC Congregational Care is about sharing life - its joys and its sorrows - with our church community. “We rejoice with those who rejoice and we weep with those who weep.” Hundreds of trained Lay Care volunteers, alongside the Congregational Care Ministry Team, bring the presence of Jesus to sisters and brothers of our church and neighborhood. There are groups for grief, divorce, living with Alzheimer's, and many more. Click for a full listing.

CPC SMALL GROUP LEADERS' RETREAT: GREATER THINGS
When: Friday and Saturday, September 17-18
Who: Small group leaders for ministry teams, Adult Ministries, HSM, and The Table at CPC
Where: Oakridge Conference Center in Chaska. HSM leaders will be staying overnight. All others are invited to stay over on a first-come, first-served basis.
As we start a new ministry year, join with other CPC small group leaders to be equipped and inspired. Three times in the gospel of John, Jesus promises His followers that they will se "greater things." We want to celebrate the great things ahead for CPC small groups this year, as well as focus on three aspects of our role as leaders: Greater Things in Us (Self-Leadership), Greater Things for Us (Building Community), and Greater Things Through Us (Discipleship). Come be refreshed, connect with other leaders, and enjoy a beautiful retreat setting. We want this to be the best weekend of your ministry year! Our special speaker will be Heather Zempel, Pastor of Discipleship at National Community Church in Washington, D.C.

Please register by Tuesday, September 14.
